KNKLS empowers youth through fencing, STEM education, and community service
fostering cultural exchange and leadership

Who are we?

The Kids and Knowledge Learning Society (KNKLS) is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California, founded and funded by Andy Zhang, currently a sophomore at Brandeis University. Our mission is to eliminate cultural biases from an early age by fostering language and cultural exchange among youth worldwide, nurturing open-minded and inclusive global citizens.
In 2024, under the leadership of President Xilong Lin and vice president Aaron Zhang, we launched our flagship initiative, "Fencing for Dreams."This program uses fencing as a medium to embody KNKLS’s core values by:
- Providing a professional platform for fencers to learn, communicate, and improve
- Cultivating a shared and open sports culture
- Offering students a stage to showcase their talents and support their peers
- Enhancing young fencers' skills while promoting academic excellence
- Strengthening sports and cultural exchange between the U.S. and China
Participants not only receive expert fencing training but also engage in international exchange activities, building meaningful friendships with peers from diverse backgrounds and developing cross-cultural understanding through practice.
In an increasingly interconnected world, cultural understanding and cross-cultural communication skills have become essential for young generations. KNKLS is dedicated to building an international platform where diverse programs and activities help break geographical barriers, allowing youth to form friendships and mutual trust across borders.
